NEUROFEEDBACK AND BRAIN WELLNESS CLINIC
BOWIE, MD
SBA DEAL SUMMARY
Patricia Herford, Doctor of Physical Therapy and certified concussion specialist, started up "The Connected Mind", a neurofeedback and brain wellness clinic located in Bowie, MD.
The business required SBA funding for leasehold improvements, IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback equipment, start-up working capital, and sufficient ramp-up working capital to build a new patient base. With funding secured from a Regional Bank, The Connected Mind opened in May 2025.
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
When I was preparing to launch The Connected Mind, I knew I needed strong financial projections and a business plan that would stand up to the rigor of SBA underwriting. Jeff took the draft I had created and transformed it into a professional, SBA-ready package.
What impressed me most was his ability
to anticipate what the underwriters would need to see, particularly around justifying start-up and ramp-up working capital. The revised projection and business plan gave me confidence walking into the SBA loan process and will provide benchmarks to measure our financial performance.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
Jeff advised and assisted us with the SBA Projection by walking us through each revenue and expense line item. He challenged us to research/confirm critical expense assumptions, built a realistic sales model and created a monthly cashflow analysis. The cashflow analysis helped us determine the working capital that will be needed, until cashflow breakeven is achieved. The SBA Business Plan plainly explained how we will make the SBA Projection a reality. Both documents not only helped with our SBA loan approval but, will provide a road map for our financial performance.
